Ponder Lions Varsity Takes The Win Over Pilot Point

The Ponder Lions baseball team took home a 7-2 victory over Pilot Point on Friday. Ponder got things moving in the first inning. Timber Crider drove in one when he singled. Luke Johnson got the win for the Lions. . The right hander lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out six and walking zero.  Crider went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead PHS in hits.

The Ponder Lions JV Baseball team scratched out a win in Pilot Point to close the season on Friday. The Lions jumped out to a big lead scoring 7 runs in the top of the first inning. Collin Wallace had a great bottom half of the first, striking out the side. In the top of the second, the Lions continued what they started, scoring 5 more runs. Wallace struggled in the bottom of the second inning, allowing 9 runs on walks and hit batters. The game was called due to a problem with the field in Pilot Point, giving the Lions a 12-9 victory.
