Strong pitching and timely hits lead the Lions to a 14-2 victory over the Pilot Point Bearcats on Tuesday. Carson Garite started the game on the mound for the Lions. The lefty went two innings allowing just one run on 3 hits, and striking out 5. That proved to be enough for the win as the Lions ran the bases uncontested because of overwhelming hits by Hayden Bradshaw and Landon Hardin among others. Clayton Cooper entered the game in relief pitching two innings. Cooper struck
out one and also allowed only one run. The Lions and the Bearcats will face off again on Friday night in Pilot Point to end the season.
