Boyd Overpowers Ponder

Ponder had hard fought battle with Boyd on Saturday, April 23rd. Ponder collected nine hits on the day. Ponder knotted the game up at nine in the bottom of the fifth inning. Ponder scored two runs when Hidee Wilson doubled. The second inning had Ponder score five runs. Ponders big inning was led by Tate Wells, Wilson, Mollie Taft, and Tessa Taft, all driving in runs in the inning. Taft led things off in the circle striking out 12, and ending the year with 193 strike outs. Ponder launched one home run on the day. Mollie Taft went for the long ball in the fourth inning. Ponder collected nine hits on the day.  Taft, Harlee Ponce, and Presley Calhoun all collected multiple hits for Ponder.  Calhoun, Ponce, and Taft each collected two hits to lead Ponder. Ponder ends district in 5th place, with a 6-8 record, and 11-18 overall.
