STAAR Test Tips/Tricks

With many STAAR tests in the coming weeks, it is easy to become stressed. Here are some tricks to help reduce stress and assure success on the STAAR test!

  1. Take your time! You’re given four hours on the STAAR test for a reason. Take your time and think it through. The faster you go, the more likely it is that you will do worse.
  2. Get plenty of sleep! It is not a smart idea to go to bed at three o’clock in the morning on the night before the STAAR. You don’t have to go to bed super early, but please get plenty of sleep to make sure you don’t waste time by sleeping during the test
  3. Eat breakfast! It is impossible to think straight with an empty stomach.

If you follow these tips, you will be more than ready for the STAAR!
