Construction for the new high school has officially begun! Ponder ISD held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Ponder High School on February 21, 2022. Board members -past and present- were present to celebrate event. Dr. Thompson opened the event, followed by school board president Shawn Wilkinson, then the Mayor of Ponder, Matthew Poole. After the opening remarks, photo opportunities came with the board members and administrators past and present who were involved in orchestrating the bond and passing it, as well as the architects and construction company responsible for the design and construction of the new high school.
