On November 11-13, the PHS Lady Lions Basketball competed at the Colleyville Tournament. In their first game on November 11 against Mansfield Summit, the lady lions came up short of winning and lost 48-72. One of our top scorers Karly Ivy, was sadly injured in the beginning of the 1st quarter, and the lady lions brought up some JV players to finish up the last 3 quarters. The top scorer for Ponder this game was Marlee Moynagh with 19 points. Tate Wells came up with 11 points, Kassi Ballard had 6 points, Kenzie Crider with 4 points, Devyn Weiland and Skye Gill each had 3 points, and Presley Calhoun and Sophia Vargas each had 1 point.

On the second day, our Lady Lions put up 59 points against Arlington Bowie’s 46, and ending that game with a win. The leading scorer for this game was Tate Wells with 22 points. Kassi Ballard had 15 points, Marlee Moynagh had 7 points, Presley Calhoun came up with 6 points, Kenzie Crider and Skye Gill each had 4 points, and Sophia Vargas had 1 point. The leading scorer was once again the stellar Tate Wells with 24 points. Kenzie Crider had 16 points, Marlee Moynagh had 10 points, Kassi Ballard had 8 points, Skye Gill with 6 points, Presley Calhoun with 5 points, and Devyn Weiland with 3 points.
