PHS Annual Fall Blood Drive

Cherokee Farmer , Reporter

This week on October 26th, the annual fall blood drive was held at Ponder High School for those 17 years and above. PHS holds the blood drive two times each year- fall and spring.  This is in an effort to help Carter Blood Center with blood donations and to help our students learn the importance of giving back and saving lives.  Just giving one pint of blood can save up to three lives.  This is the reason we need more to give.  In total this fall there was 67 units of donated blood, and with that total the students and staff at PHS have saved 201 lives! There will be another blood drive held in spring, so be sure to sign up and donate!
