Lady Lions Serve the Valley View Eagles

Kylie Brinkman , reporter

On October 1 the Ponder Lady Lions went out to Valley View and gave them a piece of the Lady Lions. The Lady Lions started the night off well by winning the first set 25-18. They continued to fight hard resulting in them winning the second set as well 25-11. In the third set, the girls had to put in some more work with the Eagles trying to push their way back up to the top, but your Lady Lions came through and showed them what Lion Pride is all about winning the third set 25-22. During this amazing game junior Jasmine Taylor came out with 10 digs; sophomore players Philomina Klotz had 5 kills, 2 aces, and 1 block; Kaelyn McWilliams had an amazing 11 digs, and 1 ace; Campbell Laney had 8 assists, 6 digs, and 1 ace, and freshman players Sofia Vargas had 7 kills and 4 digs; Heather Crumpton had 7 assists, and 9 digs.  Don’t forget to wish your Lady Lions a good job!  The Lady Lions are in action on Tuesday in Whitesboro.
