Year End Activities for Class of ’21

Year End Activities for Class of '21

Mrs. Josselet , adviser

The year is rapidly coming to an end, and we must say goodbye to the class of ’21.  They began their year end festivities with a senior breakfast on Friday, May 21st followed by commencement practice.  Then they headed to the elementary for the annual kinder-senior walk.  This is always a lot of fun for both the kindergarten class and the seniors.  Next up was a senior parade for the class  on Sunday, May 23, starting at the Denton County Cowboy Church and ending at the high school for Baccalaureate.  Baccalaureate began with the procession of graduates entering in pairs ushered by juniors, Tyler Akins and Reece Pagel.  Once seated, Chloe Poole, opened in prayer.  The Denton County Cowboy Church band then entertained the crowd with some beautiful country gospel music.  Riley Jackson introduced, Rocky Ellison, the guest speaker and the preacher at the United Methodist Church in Ponder.  Pastor Ellison reminded the students that there is no free handouts and to work hard for what they get in life.  At the conclusion of the address, the powerpoint displayed our graduates as babies, children, and the young adults they have become.  This is always a highlight of the night! Avery Tipton took the class out with the benediction, and the class of 2021 left the gymnasium on to graduation night!
