Luke Johnson Shuts Out Pilot Point

Luke Johnson threw a gem on Tuesday for Ponder JV allowing zero runs and besting Pilot Point by a score of 15-0. The team secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the third inning. The JV Lions put the pressure on, lead by singles by Colin Wallace, Johnson, Cooper Reynolds, Ty Drager, and by Carson Garite with an error on a ball put in play by Wallace, and a double by Collin Perryman.  The team put up nine runs in the third inning with batters contributing to the big inning included Wallace, Perryman, Johnson, Reynolds, Drager, and Garite, all driving in runs in the inning.  Johnson was on the mound for Ponder. The righty went three innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out four. Reynolds led the team with two hits in three at bats, and Garite led the team  with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
