Senior Spotlight with Abigail Tavera

Senior Spotlight with Abigail Tavera

Carlos Ochoa, reporter

Abigail Tavera, or Abby, has attended to Ponder for three years and within that short time her favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Josselet. During the weekends you can catch Abby watching her favorite show either Full House or iZombie, or even watching her favorite movie The Notebook. If Abigail had the option to ever change her name to anything else it would be between Victoria or Sofia. If she had to describe herself using one and only one word it would be nice. During a school break or summer if she had the option to take a trip, she would pick to go to Moraine Lake in Alberta. Some interesting facts you probably did not know about Abby is that her favorite colors are black and hot pink,  her favorite animals are ferrets and foxes, her favorite sport is soccer, and her all time favorite actress is Jaime Lee Curtis. School takes up a lot of time but during her free time she likes to play on her phone and enjoys drawing. Something Abigail wished she knew how to do is drive and be able to speak fluent English and Spanish Language. When Abigail was younger she dreamed to be an artist and now she has hopes to be a nurse or a vet, anything can be possible! A lot of people would buy expensive objects if they won the lottery but Abby likes to keep it simply and would just simply buy herself a pet ferret. Someone who is her role model would be her mom and if she was to ever get stuck in a deserted island she would pick her mom to be with her and keep her company. At the deserted island if she was only allowed to have three things she would pick water, food and a first aid kit. She hasn’t been living in Ponder for long but if she had to add something that is missing she would like for Martha’s Tacos to be added in the school lunch. A quote that would be summing up her personality would be “One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let was somebody else says distract you from your goals. And so when I hear about negative and false attacks, I really don’t invest any energy and time in them, because I know who I am.” quoted by Michelle Obama
