Class of 2020 Day

Class of 2020 Day

Mrs. Josselet, adviser

Many things changed the second half of the seniors spring semester.  Once spring break is over, they usually return to school for the rest of their seasons- baseball, softball, tennis, golf, track, UIL academics, and spring training for fall sports.  There was prom to plan for, senior meals, baccalaureate, and of course the best one,  Senior Skip Day.   However, these were not to be for the class of 2020.  But that didn’t stop the town from recognizing them.  One of the great things about a small Texas town is that everyone is family.  So it was no surprise when Ponder held a day to honor the Class of 2020 with their own parade.  The senior class met at the high school, loaded up with gowns on, and took to the streets.  As the parade made its way through the neighborhoods of Ponder, residents, friends, family, and the teachers came out to cheer for these students.  The smiles and laughter of the students were just what the doctor ordered!
