On Tuesday, October 8th, the Ponder cross country teams traveled to Haltom City for the second time this year, and once again had to face the dreaded hilly course just outside Fort Worth. Hayden Moussa placed 28th with a time of 19:43 for the 5k. Aaron Stephens took 34th, Tyler Akins took 37th, Hayes Hutcherson placed 41st, and Packard Smith placed 44th. The boys varsity team faced some tough competition, and placed 7th overall.

The Ponder ladies, however, dominated. Tate Wells ran away with 1st place, with a time of 13:45 for the 2 mile run. Her sister, Taylor Wells, was right behind her, taking 2nd. Karly Ivy placed 7th, Riley Jackson placed 12th, and Caitlyn Brown took 14th. The varsity lady lions had their first 8 runners win medals in the top 20, and won the meet overall.
