The third varsity game was against Nocona. The Ponder Lions fought hard agents  the Nocona Indians. The first quarter was scoreless as well as the second quarter. However, in the third quarter, Chase Taylor thew an amazing thirty yard throw to Oscar Martinez from the fifty-eight yard line. Chase Taylor then scrambled and threw an amazing pass to Demetri Stowers for the extra two points.  Chase Taylor was 9-of-22 passing and Oscar Martinez was his main target with five catches for 158 yards and touchdown receptions of 48, 26 and 59 yards.  It was a rough night with only 62 rushing yards.  The Indians had built up 20 point lead in the first half, and it was just too much for the Lions to catch.  The outcome was Nocona Indians 50- Ponder Lions 22.
