The start to track season usually beings well, but this year, Reese Arterberry started it off with a bang breaking the school record for the 300 hurdles! The JV and Varsity boys went to Boyd March 7, 2019. Both JV and Varsity did very well.  The coaches were all pleased with the results for the first meet of the season.

The results from the 3/7 Boyd track meet for JV and Varsity Boys are listed below.

The JV Boys finished 2nd as a team with 143 points.

-Eric Thedford 1st – 100m dash
-Cam Carroll 1st – 200m dash
-Kris Hicks 3rd – 400m dash
-Johnathan Seay 5th – 400m dash
-Hayden Moussa 1st – 3200m run
-Demetri Stowers 3rd – 110 Hurdles
-Colton Wells 5th – 110 Hurdles
-Colton Wells 3rd – 300 Hurdles
-Demetri Stowers 6th – 300 Hurdles
-Demetri Stowers 1st – Long Jump
-Kris Hicks 2nd – Long Jump
-Demetri Stowers 1st – Triple Jump
-Luke Moser 1st – Pole Vault
-Matthew Dankesreiter 2nd – Discus
-Cam Carroll 4th – Discus
-Brayan Ornelas 5th – Discus
-4×1 Team (Cam Carroll, Kris Hicks, Johnathan Seay, Eric Thedford) 2nd
-4×2 Team (Colton Adler, Joe Green, Colton Wells, Demetri Stowers) 5th
-4×4 Team (Kris Hicks, Johnathan Seay, Cam Carroll, Eric Thedford) 2nd
The Varsity Boys finished 4th as a team with 75 points.

-Tre Carter 6th – 100m dash
-Mason Durrett 5th – 400m dash
-Chase Taylor 6th – 400m dash
-Alfonso Barraza 1st – 800m run
-Aaron Stephens 4th – 800m run
-Alfonso Barraza 2nd – 1600m run
-Reese Arterberry 4th – 110 Hurdles
-Reese Arterberry 1st – 300 Hurdles (NEW SCHOOL RECORD 41.45)
-Terrance Clark 6th – Long Jump
-Alan Rodriguez 5th – Discus
-4×1 Team (Terrance Clark, Tre Carter, Chase Taylor, Payton Meroney) 4th
-4×2 Team (Tre Carter, Mason Durrett, Aaron Stephens, Payton Meroney) 5th
-4×4 Team (Reese Arterberry, Chase Taylor, Terrance Clark, Alfonso Barraza) 2nd
