With the holiday season around the corner, the Denton County Cowboy Church, Mr. Jim’s Pizza, and Ponder High School are organizing a service project to benefit our community. Beginning Monday, December 3rd and ending Friday, December 7th, we will be hosting a canned food drive. Each grade will compete for a pizza lunch donated by Mr. Jim’s Pizza in Justin. The grade level who brings the largest number of canned food or dry, non-perishable items will win the free lunch. Students will be permitted to drop off canned food items at designed locations before and after school as well as during passing periods. You are not permitted to disrupt class to drop off items. Also, this will not be an acceptable excuse for you being tardy to class. The designated drop off locations are as follows:

  • The freshman class will be Mr. Haynes’ classroom.
  • The sophomore class will be Mrs. Steele’s classroom.
  • The junior class will be Mrs. Josselet’s classroom.
  • The senior class will be Mrs. Cochrum’s classroom.

Good luck and let us give back to the community that supports our academic and extracurricular success!
