If you noticed that the halls are little more crowded this year, you aren’t imagining it.  Our school is growing quite a bit. This year’s enrollment is over 1500 kids in the district. The elementary has 720 kids and middle school has 360. Last year in the high school we had 405 kids and this year we have 439 kids. New kids bring more diversity, and they teach us as much as we teach them. We have different experiences when there are new kids added to the school. Dr. Birdwell thinks it is going well so far, and he said we were going to have a fantastic year. He also believes that we have great teachers, and academics and would love to add his family to the equation. He wants his kids to be raised in a small town just like he was.
