The Lions took on the Pottsboro Cardinals on Tuesday, March 6th, and lost a tough one. JV had a rough game losing to the Cardinals 10-0. Zach Clark pitched for the JV and threw a decent game through 3 innings. JV played a decent game but wasn’t able to hit the ball as well as Pottsboro did. Varsity played after in which they also lost. The final score was 10-3. Jack Dow pitched a great game through 3 innings but the defense could not back him up. Zach Graben finished the game and also threw a great game. The Lions scored 3 runs and gave up 2 earned runs but errors gave up many runs. The lions had a rough 7th inning giving up 5 runs. The Lions continue play this weekend in the Ponder tournament and next week during spring break in which they take on S&S on Tuesday, March 13th and Sam Rayburn, March 15th.
