Flu season in North Texas and across the country this year is extremely bad. Over 50 flu-related deaths have been reported, and many schools have been shut down because attendance was under 30%.  Local closures include Gunter ISD, and Sunnyvale ISD have both been closed for a “deep cleaning.” Ponder however only has about 16% of students out. If you experience flu-like symptoms, please do not come back to school until you have been fever free for at least 24 hours. To avoid getting sick wash your hands multiple times a day, avoid touching your face, and avoid those who have been ill.
Stay healthy everyone!
