On Friday, January 5th, the Ponder Lions boys basketball teams traveled to Callisburg to take on the Wildcats in a district match up. The JV White dished a beat down with a large win. The story was the same for the JV Red, as junior Reece Low notched a career high 17 points. The Varsity continued the whippings, with a 62-32 victory. Senior Tye Schluter, the team’s scoring leader, put up 25 points in 21 minutes. Senior Sam Norwood was also able to contribute to the win adding a point from the free throw line. Blake Gibson led the team with 7 rebounds. The Lions look to continue rolling through district in a home game against Whitesboro on the 9th.
